“Ideal teachers are those who use themselves as bridges over which they invite their students to cross, then having facilitated their crossing, joyfully collapse, encouraging them to create bridges of their own.” - Nikos Kazantzakis

Greetings! Welcome to my teaching ePortfolio.  Please feel free to explore this site to find out about my teaching philosophy, methods, credentials, and experiences.  I have obtained my Bachelor’s Degree from James Madison University and secured my Master’s from Hollins University.  I have a passion for writing, theatre, and working with students.  My teaching interests include secondary English and Theatre.

I believe in creating a safe learning environment that encourages communication. I will interact with my students in a positive manner and incorporate lessons into my classroom that focus on personal growth, development, and empowerment.  A goal I have is to foster uniqueness and confidence.  I will hold students to a high standard and expect them abide by my classroom rules and procedures.

My Philosophy of Education showcases further my views and experiences that created the teacher I am today.
