Strong classroom management skills are essential for student learning. Effective teachers have carefully crafted classroom management plans with many different scenarios. My Classroom Management Plan details the purpose statement of classroom management, rules, procedures, consequences (both positive and negative), a general crisis plan, and an action plan.
“Stop, Collaborate, … AND LISTEN!” This is a strategy I use with my students to bring their attention back to me. Other strategies I use include proximity and eye contact. All of these provide redirection for students to get back on track.
For a more visual interpretation of my classroom management purpose and philosophy, I have created this infographic that I will display in my classroom.
